Answers:

1: What is Geocaching?
Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment. Click here to visit the official Geocaching.com site for more information.

2: What is extreme caching?
Extreme caching is a form of caching that will push a person's physical and mental limits. To find a cache you may have to go on a 10 hour hike or climb a 100 foot tower, there are many forms of extreme caches.

3: Is it dangerous?
It can be or should I say usually. It is very important you come well prepared for these kinds of caches and you have to be willing to give up and try another time if you find yourself unprepared or out of your league. Be smart; use the proper equipment and always extreme cache with a buddy.

4: Why extreme-caching.com?
We are a pretty rare breed of cacher, we are always looking for a new challenge, but it is hard to find a quality cache in the ocean of parking lot caches. So we decided to create this website and give extreme cachers another home to share their experiences without all the clutter. Extreme cachers can organize trips on the forum and find other cachers that share the same passion. Our site is run by volunteers.

5: This looks like fun, how do I find extreme caches?
This site lists quality extreme caches, but we cannot keep up with every cache that gets published in the world. One way is to look for 5 terrain caches on Geocaching.com. Running a pocket query is a good way to filter them out of the clutter, to do this you have to be a premium Geocaching.com member. You can also try our forum and ask if anybody knows of a good cache in your area.

6: How can I contribute?
Many ways. You can send us links to extreme cache listings, send us pictures, write articles or write reviews. Please see our forum for proper review format.

7: I don't have anybody to go extreme caching with, can somebody help me?
You can try asking around in our forum or go to your local Geocaching.com's forum and ask around. There is a pretty good chance that somebody will be more than happy to join you on an adventure.

8: I see "this" cache featured on your site but it is not an extreme cache!
Extreme caching is different for everybody and there are a lot of forms of it, also sometimes we'll list a cache that may not be very extreme but it's so good that it we will list it anyways, quality is more important than the "danger" level. However it does happen that we get "tricked" into listing a cache or make a mistake, so if you really sure this cache does not belong, don't hesitate to send us an email.
